Bonus: Sartorial Scrivener Exposed
Some poems I've written over the past seven years, plus clothes to match.
First bonus post of March, simultaneously my most and least favorite month! Don’t ask me why! I mean, it’s kind of obvious.
First, some business:
If you were subscribed to my Patreon, you now have a free month’s subscription here, as I shut that down due to my brain only being able to keep track of one channel at a time. I’m sorry if that inconveniences you, and please feel free to let this sub lapse, but if you want to continue on this voyage with me, HERE is a link to subsidized subs at the same base rate you were paying on Patreon, $2/month for two bonus posts! And HERE are all the bonus posts that were on the Patreon, so you still have access to every single thing you’d paid for! You can also sign up at the normal rate, $5/month, at the green button below, and I would be just pleased as punch.
IF YOU WERE SUBSCRIBED AT ANY LEVEL TO THE HR PATREON, EVER, AND DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH A COMPED MONTH OF SUBSCRIPTION, PLEASE DM ME @HUMANREPELLER ON INSTAGRAM! I will fix you right up.
This blog (yes, I’m still gonna call it a blog even though it’s teeechnically a newsletter now) has earned me the best opportunities of my life, and I was able to persevere until that point largely thanks to your support and encouragement, and I am forever grateful.
On with the show! Today, I have a very concertedly paywalled post for you full of the most vulnerable thing I could possibly share: My own poetry. Before you run away, screaming, some of these pieces have actually been published in respectable locales! So they must be at least survivable!
And, of course, the poems will be accompanied by fashion inspired by their imagery, structures, moods, and whatever ineffable things I think I see between the lines. I will never stick you with my own poems without a little sartorial carroting.
One poem is visible to everyone, below, and the rest you can access by subbing! For $2! Here! One last note—I am credited on the older poems as Emma, which I no longer respond to! I’m Em. :)
If you like these posts, please let me know by sharing (tag me if on IG so I can see and thank you!), liking, saving, and commenting on HR’s Instagram, subbing to the HR Patreon or Substack (this) for as little as two bucks a month (extra posts, personal styling, and more available on there!) or throwing me a few shillings on Ko-fi if you’re able.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support, whatever you are able and willing to do to help is extremely valuable to me and I’m honored to be a small part of your life on the web.
Note: I may make a commission if you purchase items using some of the links below, which costs you nothing and might actually save you a few bucks in some cases, so thanks if you do, and please let me know what you copped!

Grace
Everything is every love
Of mirrors
Of letters
The other person
The definitive
Hearing of a song
While not looking at
A neck
I’m sure I remember
Reconciling
My taking turned inward
But then came a salve
Like me
Deemed unholy
I bore myself
Like that
If earnest
I can trap it
And wonder
When I hope you do
