Hello! To spruce up your Sunday, I’ve got something special for you—friend of HR AnnaSophia Robb generously allowed me to invade her Instagram in search of stylistic inspiration. Anna’s style is simple but romantic, Hollywood but unpretentious, and pragmatic without veering into boring. It feels very “the one femme in the Sandlot” or “babysitter whose cool you’ll never be able to capture, no matter how old or mature you become.” It’s especially appropriate as her style is very conducive to spring dressing, with its florals, subtle flounces, and matching sets.
Below are some outfits of hers I like, what exactly about them I appreciate, a shoppable catalog of items inspired by ASR’s style, the brands she shops frequently (Yan Yan, Batsheva, Samantha Pleet, and Hereu all made the cut below), and what I would put her in if I got tapped for a styling gig, and finally, five speculative fits that show you how I’d combine some of the aforementioned items into full lëwks. Thanks again, AnnaSophia, and I hope you (dear reader) enjoy.
If you like Style Hero posts, let me know on Instagram or in the comments here, and make sure to check out past SHs like Sara Camposarcone and Vivian Li!
If you like these posts, please let me know by sharing (tag me if on IG so I can see and thank you!), liking, saving, and commenting on HR’s Instagram, subbing to the HR Substack (this) for as little as two bucks a month, one dollar per bonus post (subsidized subs available HERE) or throwing me a few shillings on Ko-fi if you’re able.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support, whatever you are able and willing to do to help is extremely valuable to me and I’m honored to be a small part of your life on the web.
Note: I may make a commission if you purchase items using some of the links below, which costs you nothing and might actually save you a few bucks in some cases, so thanks if you do, and please let me know what you copped!
First, some looks and pieces I like from ASR’s Instagram:
Tailored, form-fitting knits with asymmetrical detailing and contrast stitching
Simple, hefty earrings
Sets!
Chunky, sculptural blouses
Looks that imply a frolick or a painting in-progress
Subtle frills
Vintage fruit earrings
I peep a Zoe Schlacter print!
These specific Hereu T-strap loafers (linked below)
Cozy florals
Slinky, dramatic, beaded, or all three
Sheer but coy
Obsessed with the vintage-y bustier + backwards scarf! So ineffably glamorous!
Onto the catalog…
And now, a few fits:
Until next time, compañeros.
