Hi all! As mentioned, I decided to break The Wishlist (a shoppable, annotated list of wearables I’ve liked this week) up into weekly segments for paid subscribers, in addition to their other special posts, for pragmatism’s sake, since the master list (still available here!) was getting unwieldy. This is edition #4, #2 is here and #3 is here. Also included in each wishlist post, under the paywall, will be my running list of favorite brands/designers.

If you like these posts, please let me know by liking and commenting here or on HR’s Instagram, subbing to the HR Substack (this) for free or get bonus posts for seven bucks a month, or for ZERO DOLLARS, share (tag me if on IG so I can see and thank you)!

If you cannot afford the $7/month, I totally understand—respond to any of my email sends and I will get you a $2 subscription or comp you, whatever you need. HR is for everyone!

THANK YOU for being here, and I am always available @humanrepeller on Instagram for sartorial scandals/situations/summons. Here is a little preview of what’s below the paywall:

The Claire Jean - $258

I have been influenced by

Viv Chen
to covet these jeans by a brand that specializes in inseams for short people. They look like the platonic ideal jeans, the jeans I’ve been looking for my whole life, and I wouldn’t even have to get them tailored. They’re expensive, but hopefully they’ll have a sale…eventually…

Navy Flocked Sweater - $1,147 (Sale)

I confess: I love the gimmicky Margiela pieces covered in flocked “sand.” As someone who grew up by the beach, the sense of wistful nostalgia this brings me, minus the grossness of actually having sand caked to your body, is powerful pathos.

Violin Bag - $435 (Sale)
Vintage Evening Jacket - $156 (Sale)

We’ve already established that Bill Blass’ moment is coming, and TheRealReal has a cache of his vintage work for incredible prices right now, probably not for long. I’ve been loving military-style collarless jackets recently for some reason.

Vintage Vest - $580 (Sale)

This is an eyesore and I can’t stop staring at it. I can’t imagine how this would be received by the populace if I wore it out.

June Shirt - $105 (Sale)

The perfect olive shade, the perfect shape of shirt—soft, but not too feminized.

Cold-shoulder Maxi Dress - $404.70 (Sale)

This dress looks corny decontextualized, but so cool on, and is the prom dress of my dreams if I could have a redo (though I’d probably wear a suit, if we’re letting me go back to prom night. Also probably doing more drugs).
